I'm so glad that you are here!
Nestled in the country, near the lake down the lane, sits our house with a little country porch, with windows peering in on our simple country life. It's sometimes sweet, sometimes tart but always REAL. There you'll find me - an imperfect homemaker, doing my very best to serve a very perfect God.
I was born in the south - a true Georgia Peach and Army Brat. Raised a mid-westerners pastors daughter almost my entire life. Schooled at home, and have lived in small towns, big cities including the country. {I of course prefer the latter!} I enjoy watching the shocked faces of those I tell... "I'm oldest of 15 children." Ever since I can remember, I couldn't wait to be a wife and mommy. It was a dream job, that I longed for with my whole heart. I'm very busy living my peanut butter & jelly, mud-puddle, dandelion, laundry filled, sticky finger days, one crazy adventure, one day at a time! Happily married to my best friend and love of my life for 10 years. Mommy to 5 beautiful little people aka the "Munchkins."
I'm learning to love the Lord more intimately, learning to love my man more passionately, learning to train my munchkins more joyfully, all while learning to let go of perfect.
I delight in homeschooling my children, {for the past 6 years} though most days I feel just a bit overwhelmed, I'm blown-away at the daily strength, the Lord blesses me with.
Though I have no fancy credentials or special titles behind my name, I have a passion and desire for encouraging wives, and mothers {and those in training}, to embrace our most infinite, most fulfilling God-designed job of being a H.O.M.E.M.A.K.E.R.

I do not claim to have it all figured out -- and I certainly don’t have it all together, but I know The One who does! He’s shaping and re-forming my frayed edges on a daily basis.

Some days you'll find me climbing the mountain tops and on other days, I might be trudging the deep valleys below. As I'm battling through the day to day challenges, I try my best to discover God's incredible beauty through it all. I believe in living in the moments, for every moment is a gift from the creator above!
With a bit of a confection addiction, on the "side of life" I somehow fell into having my own home-based bakery aka "cakery". {7 years now.} Specializing in wedding cakes and other yummy thigh fattening indulging goodies. :wink:
I'm a lover of fabric, craft and old country stores, adorer of anything vintage,{if it's shabby, worn, cracked, frayed, torn, tarnished, or time-worn....that's my style!} Collector of old antiques, indulger of all things simple and sweet...for instance -My husband's hands, the sound of my children laughing and playing, the freedom that comes from knowing Christ, flowers and their simple, yet awe inspiring beauty, music {especially the heartfelt, uplifting poetic kind.} old farmhouses, picket fences, sweet tea with lemons, waterfalls, horseback riding, gardening {flower, veggies and herbs}, sunsets and sunrises, good quotes, and good reads etc...
I have a fetish for flea markets, sale racks, second hand stores, and Pinterest. Handwritten mail makes me happy, as do the scents of homemade kitchen goodies, and the invigorating aromas of candles and scented oils.
